Hier in Bel-Air - in dem teuersten Wohnviertel von Amerika steht unsere wunderschöne Villa. Auf der Spitze des Berges mit Aussicht zum Pazifischen Ozean, den Inseln, Beverly Hills und Down Town Los Angeles.
Erbaut wurde dieses Prachtstück von keinem Geringeren als dem legendären und einst reichsten Mann der Welt Howard Hughes.
Elvis Presley nannte diese Villa sein Zuhause während seiner Filmkarriere in Hollywood. Fenster und Türen mit farbiger Glasmalerei, die Elvis einbauen lies sind heute noch zu sehen.
In den 70er Jahren gönnte sich dann Zsa Zsa Gabor dieses Prunkstück. Sie lies die Villa mit den feinsten Antiquitäten aus Europa ganz nach ihrem Geschmack einrichten. 1983 trat ich meinen ersten Besuch in Bel-Air an und war fasziniert. Weil ich mit meinem Titel doch eigentlich in einem Schloss wohnen sollte, aber mein Einkommen nur für ein 90qm Appartement in München reichte, lies ich mich drei Jahre später breitschlagen, gab mein JA-Wort zur Hochzeit mit Zsa Zsa Gabor und platzierte meinen fürstlichen Hintern auf einer Wohnflache mit 4.000 qm und 40 Zimmern und zwar genau dort auf den Hügel, von wo aus einst Howard Hughes , Elvis Presley und Zsa Zsa Gabor weltweit bewundert wurden.
Präsidenten und First Ladies, Königspaare aus Europa und den Arabischen Ländern , Weltstars und hohe Persönlichkeiten aus Politik und Wirtschaft gingen in unserem Hause ein und aus.
Wer kann schon Nein sagen, wenn Thomas Gottschalk - der König des deutschen Showbiz an unserem Tor klingelt. In unserem Frühstücksraum lies er sich seine 2 1/2 Minuten Eier mit Kaviar und Trüffeln auf der Zunge zergehen und reinigte seine Kehle mit edlem Champagner.
